Aurora borealis, also known as Northern Lights is a lifetime experience for sure. During our road trip in Iceland we were lucky enough to have very high solar activity. This photo was taken while we were returning to our hotel after being out all day hiking and taking photos. Although we were pretty tired and despite being in the middle of nowhere when we saw the auroras dancing we couldn't resist and stopped our car. The northern lights filled the sky with beautiful green and purple tones and were changing shapes very quickly. Of course we took some photos while enjoying the light show!
