Skogafoss is one of the biggest and most beautiful waterfalls in Iceland. Hundreds of tourists visit this magnificent waterfall each day in order to take a selfie in front of it! It is easily accessible and this helps a lot.
During our road trip in Iceland we visited this waterfall three times. In fact the third time wasn’t scheduled. We were in our hostel while we saw a prediction for a high solar activity. We grabbed our cameras and warm clothes and headed towards Skogafoss. When we arrived Aurora Borealis had already started to dance in the sky. Amazing green and purple tones were all over the place. We set up our cameras to take pictures and we stand in awe watching the amazing show. The sky was clear and stars were distinguished in the night sky. The light show kept on going strong for over an hour and although the weather was freezing there was no way we could leave.
