Very nice long exposure, really like how the water bleeds into the sky for a giant white mass around those two little birds!

Alexios Ntounas replied:

Thank you very much William! In fact I took this photo from an elevated view point so it's just water everywhere!

Artist's Description

A pair of cormorant birds sitting on the edge of an old, broken pier. This minimalist scene captures a solitary wooden pier extending into a calm, misty body of water, with a pebbled shore gently curving at the edge. The high-key, almost monochromatic color scheme exudes a sense of tranquility and simplicity.

This jetty was once used by boats to reach the rocky seaside. Only a few rusted parts remain today. The long exposure smoothed out the sea, giving this high key photo an ethereal and calm look. The lack of color makes the entire scene so serene!

This photo was taken in the municipality of Kalamaria in Thessaloniki, Greece.

My work has been featured in prestigious Greek magazines, and I’ve had...
