Description
The Thessaloniki Concert Hall is located on Thessaloniki's waterfront and has become a reference point for residents and visitors. The complex has two main buildings. M1 is the red-brick structure and M2, the white building with the glass walls and a contemporary style by Japanese architect Arata Isozak. M1 is solid and dense while M2 is transparent and light. Overall the two buildings are an asset for the city's architectural profile and have become a landmark for Greece's cultural capital.
At the upper floors of the M2 building there is also a café-restaurant which offers a great view towards Thermaic gulf and Mount Olympus if the sky is clear.
In this photo you can see the two buildings illuminated during the blue hour.
