The two colours that best describe Greece are white and blue. White for the sky and blue for the sea. Those two colours are present in the national flag of Greece which is often referred to as the "blue and white". I think that this photo really resembles Greece. The beautiful blue sea along with a cloudy sky during a hot summer day.
The Greek flag is waving in the air placed right next to a small Orthodox chapel. This little holy temple is built on top of the rocks just next to the sea. It is also painted white while its roof is blue. I think it perfectly matches the scene!
This photo was taken during my summer holidays a few years ago in Sithonia of Chalkidiki. We were staying in a little village called Sikia, a well known summer destination of Sithonia. This chapel is located on a little sandy beach called Klimataria. Don’t get confused by these rocks. The rest of the beach is covered white white sand. It’s a perfect beach to enjoy your summer vacation!
