Description
The Thessaloniki Concert Hall is located on Thessaloniki's waterfront and has become a reference point for residents and visitors. The complex has two main buildings. M1 is the red-brick structure and M2, the white building with the glass walls and a contemporary style. M1 is solid and dense while M2 is transparent and light.
The building was designed in 2004 by Japanese architect Arata Isozak and its construction was completed in 2010. Geometrical lines, extended glass surfaces and elements of steel compose an image of imposing simplicity. At the upper floors of the M2 building there is also a cafe-restaurant which offers a great view towards Thermaic gulf and Mount Olympus if the sky is clear.
In this photo you can see a perfect reflection of the Concert Hall Building M2. In the otherwise blue sky there are a few fluffy clouds. The sea stands still and calm since there was no wind this morning. A wonderful day to enjoy a walk next to the sea. At the background you can also see a part of the Building M1.
