Description
Reynisfjara is a world-famous black-sand beach found on the South Coast of Iceland, just beside the small fishing village of Vík í Mýrdal. Reynisfjara is considered to be the most beautiful of Iceland's black sand beaches. It has been voted by National Geographic as one of the Top 10 non-tropical beaches! From there you can enjoy a close up view of the huge Reynisdrangar basalt sea stacks. These large basalt columns were once trolls trying to pull ships from the ocean to shore! However once dawn broke on the horizon while they were out in the ocean and they turned into stone!
