Seljalandsfoss, a majestic waterfall cascades down a rocky cliff as dusk colors the sky with hues of pink and orange. The water flows into a serene river that meanders through the expansive grassy plains.

Seljalandsfoss waterfall is located in the South Region in Iceland. It is probably one of the most beautiful and iconic waterfalls in Iceland because of the path that leads you just behind it! The waterfall drops 60 m (176 ft) and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. Seljalandsfoss is also known as Seljalands waterfall which means 'selling the land of waterfalls' in English.

Seljalandsfoss is very easy to reach by following Route 1 and the road that leads to Þórsmörk Road 249. It's at a distance of about 120 kilometres from the capital city of Reykjavík towards the South Coast.
