Sometimes you feel lucky when you witness an unexpected and beautiful sunset, just like the one in the photo! That evening I was out for a walk with my son and I had my camera together to take some pictures of him. I didn't plan to take any landscape photos though. However, when the sun hid behind the clouds beautiful sunbeams appeared in between the clouds. The blue sky was colored with beautiful pastel tones of orange and yellow and the clouds started to shine. The forest in the foreground created a beautiful silhouette. I really like the shape of the tree in the middle of the ridge line. As it happens in such cases the sun rays lasted only for a few minutes but it was enough to capture a photo of the sunlight shining thought the openings of the clouds! Such a serene scene! It all took place while I was in Chalkidiki, Greece.
Hey! I am Ntounas Alexios, born in Thessaloniki, Greece. I am a software engineer and in the past few years I became passionate about photography. I always enjoyed travelling and exploring new places. With my photos I can share those experiences with the rest of the world. Photography is a good reason to wake up early to capture a sunrise, to stay out late to photograph the milky way or to wait for the perfect light. In the end its all about being out in nature capturing the perfect moment. Landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and astrophotography are my favorite genres of photography. My photographs have been published in Greek magazines and I have participated in various photography exhibitions.
