A colorful sunset at the amazing Vestrahorn mountain at Stokksnes peninsula in South-West Iceland. A wave from the ocean leads you towards the epic mountain. The mountain peaks are colored in red as the sun sets and gives an alpine glow to the mountain. The black sand beach is totally empty since there are no people out in this cold winter evening.Vestrahorn is located on the south east coast of Iceland, near the town of Höfn. It is easily accessible by car. You have to pay an entrance fee though since it is in private property. It totally worth it if you ask me. I could describe this place as the photographer's paradise or playground. So many different compositions and different angles to shoot. And if the weather cooperates, like it did here, you might leave with some amazing photos. We visited this place twice. Once in the evening which you can see here and more time the next morning, which you can see in another photo of mine. Both the sunrise and the sunset were spectacular. Coul...

Hey! I am Ntounas Alexios, born in Thessaloniki, Greece. I am a software engineer and in the past few years I became passionate about photography. I always enjoyed travelling and exploring new places. With my photos I can share those experiences with the rest of the world. Photography is a good reason to wake up early to capture a sunrise, to stay out late to photograph the milky way or to wait for the perfect light. In the end its all about being out in nature capturing the perfect moment. Landscapes, seascapes, cityscapes and astrophotography are my favorite genres of photography. My photographs have been published in Greek magazines and I have participated in various photography exhibitions.
