I don't really like taking pictures on overcast days. However, despite the fact that the sky was obscured by flat clouds with no texture, I decided to give it a shot and see what I might find. I went for a walk in a nearby marina located in Kalamaria municipality of Thessaloniki city in Greece. I spotted a few birds perched on the breakwater there. While some of them swam around with their wings wide open, trying to dry them out, a few seagulls were also flying around.

In black and white with a high key edit, I felt this image would look fantastic. The sky was overcast, and the sea seemed eerily still. So, I considered turning them completely white. I like how simple and minimal the final outcome is!
