The milky way appears quite vibrant if you happen to be in an area without too much light pollution. I am lucky that I spent my summer holidays at Chalkidiki in Greece where I can find many dark places. Also going out at night without the moon helps a lot of course. I love being out exploring and afterwards just set up my camera and enjoy the stars and the galaxy. After staying out for a while your eyes can really see the details of it!

Here you can see the milky way details and the milky way core shining vibrant above the sea. The lights at the background are from the villages of Mount Pelion far away across the sea.

Hey! I am Ntounas Alexios, born in Thessaloniki, Greece. I am a software engineer and in the past few years I became passionate about photography.
