Description
Watching a thunder striking leaves you with a feeling of awe. Could it be the sound of the lighting breaking the silence of the night or the instant light followed by the darkness of the night. In moments like this you feel the power of nature! Last summer I came across a severe thunderstorm happening into the sea. In this photo you see a thunder striking the sea! The clouds above lightning have a beautiful orange and red color. The light of the thunder is reflected into the almost calm sea. What I also like in this scene are the shining stars above the clouds which have filled the horizon! For those who like astronomy and astrology I will add that the brightest star is Jupiter and the star constellation is Sagittarius. I took a dozen photos, but I had to leave since the thunderstorm was coming towards me and I didn't want to stay out in such a dangerous situation.
This photo was taken in Chalkidiki, Greece and at the right of the lightnings you can see the villages of Pelion mountain.
