Description
This is one of my favourite hillsides in my hometown, the city of Thessaloniki in Greece. I love how you overlook the Thermaic gulf. If the weather is clear you can even see Mount Olympus, the tallest mountain in Greece. You know the home of the Olympian Gods.
There are many pine trees in this hill which have curly trunks because of the strong winds! In this photo I tried to find a single tree and photograph its silhouette. I like how the curvy trunk and the pine needles stand out in the sky.
That evening there was almost no wind and the sea was really calm. You could hear just some birds singing and the sound of a few small waves crashing on the seashore just below the hill. In the sky there were just a few clouds. The sun had just set behind the mountain range painting the sky with amazing and vibrant orange, yellow, pink and purple tones.
