Description
The Bramante Staircase is a famous architectural feature located in the Vatican Museums. It is a double helix staircase designed by Donato Bramante in the early 16th century. In fact, there are two staircases with the same name in the Vatican Museums. The original Bramante's Staircase was built in 1505. The modern one, which is modeled on the original, was designed by Giuseppe Momo and built in 1932. The staircase is known for its elegant and innovative design. This spiraling arrangement only creates a visually stunning effect. The staircase is lined with granite Doric columns and has a herringbone paving pattern. It is a popular attraction for visitors to the Vatican Museums.
This is the black and white version. A colored version is also available in my profile.
